Frances Patricia Lewis

  Frances Patricia Lewis, 78, of The Glades passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2022 at her home. Frances has left us to reunite with her loving husband Gerald.

  Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late John and Stella (Trites) Mowbray.

  In her early working years Frances worked at Eastern Bakery, and then she devoted her life to her true passion as a wife/mother, raising her family on the farm.

  She was truly an amazing woman working alongside Gerald and the kids on the farm. Her many passions ranged from gardening, cooking, canning, sewing, bird watching but her favourite was being a Grandmother (Meme).

  In the later years in Frances' life she took a step back as she watched her kids and grandkids worked the farm, always making sure everything was done right. She took pleasure in seeing her grandchildren helping out and learning farm life. Anyone who knew Frances knew there was always a pot of tea ready and cookies on the table.

  She is survived by her children Stephen Lewis (Cyndy) and Evelyn Lewis; grandchildren Jessica, Dylan, Devin, Nathan, and Nicholas; brother Russell Mowbray (late Barb) and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerald (1995); sister Trudy Morrissey; two infant grandchildren and lifelong friend Alison Harll.

  The memorial will be held at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) on Thursday, March 17 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Woodworth officiating. Masks must be worn by family request.

  If desired, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
