Shirley Douthwright
1949-2022
Shirley Emily Douthwright, 72, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Petitcodiac, she was a daughter of Emily (Bateman) Steeves and the late Clinton Steeves. A homemaker, Shirley was a member of The First Elgin Batist Church and their Women's Missionary Society. Friends and family enjoyed her baking, facebook comments, quick wit and positive outlook on life, despite her challenges.
Survived and sadly missed by her mother, Emily; her beloved husband of 52 years, Arnold; sister Phyllis Plume; brothers-in-law, Gary (Edith), and Darrell; sister-in-law, Debbie Steeves (David) and Doreen Gauvin; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by her father, Clinton, and son, Darcy (1976).
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private family service will be held with Pastor Rick Mitton officiating. Arrangements in care of The Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800). Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. If desired, memorials to IWK or The First Elgin Baptist Church would be appreciated.
