Darlene Joy McFarlane, 69, of Petitcodiac passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Daphna Prosser. She was a graduate of the Petitcodiac Regional High School and in her early years she worked for Blue Cross and Stedmans. Darlene was a kind and caring person who enjoyed camping and traveling, but raising and caring for her family was most important to her.
She is survived and sadly missed by her husband Ken; daughter Tanya MacLeod (Shaine); son Robert Steeves; step-children Angela Ruttle (Steve), Troy McFarlane (Leslie) and Mary Anne Jeffery (Curtis); cherished grandchildren Cailyn, Ethan, Aiden, Tyler, Kyle, Brooke, Dawson, Bradley and KJ; sisters Diane Mills (Fred), Paula Cameron (Jim), and Kelly Kaye (Gerald); brother Rodney Prosser (Loretta). Survived also by the McFarlane family and several special nieces and nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her first husband Dean Steeves and sister Patti Prosser.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a private family service held at the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). Interment at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
