Nevin Wood

1968-2021

Nevin Wood

Nevin Lloyd Wood, 52, of Wheaton Settlement passed away while in Toronto, ON November 26, 2021.

Born in Moncton, he was a son of Stanley and Elizabeth (Betty) (Knox) Wood. A professional trucker for over 35 years, he was a devoted family man who believed you should work hard and play hard. He recently completed, with the help of his brother and friends a lifelong dream of building his own truck garage to service his equipment. Many fond memories were made out on the trails and their Newfoundland trip but above all else time spent with family was most important. He loved spending his weekends camping, biking and boating.

Nevin leaves behind his loving wife of 23 years, Tina. Tina and Nevin built a beautiful life together with their three children, Rick, Cody and Raelene. Nevin’s kids were his pride and joy and growing up, the house was always chaotic with love, laughter and family. To Nevin, family was everything, and he shared a close relationship with all of his sisters, brother, nieces and nephews. Nevin never knew a stranger and would always make you feel welcomed. Nevin’s home is a bastion of love and his passing leaves a hole that will never be filled.

Survived and sadly missed by his parents Stanley and Betty of Chipman, his loving wife and best friend Tina; children Rick (Stephanie), Cody (Jenna) and Raelene; cherished granddaughter Macie Rae; a brother Paul (Lorrie); sisters Janet Fulton (Brian), Twyla LeBlanc (Jean), Nancy Barton (Scott) and Melissa Wood, his extended family, and his many friends.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rte 106, Salisbury (372-4800) on Saturday, December 4 from 1 to 4 p.m. Interment at the Wheaton Settlement Cemetery at a later date.

Proof of double vaccinations, identification and face masks are required to attend.

If desired, in memory of Nevin, donations to a local food bank would be appreciated by the family.
