Evelyn Henry

1944-2021

Evelyn Henry

With heavy hearts we share the sudden passing of Evelyn Darlene Henry, 77 of Salisbury, NB on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Born in Truro, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marie (Sullivan) Grant. She is widowed by her beloved husband of 52 years Graham Henry.

She is survived and sadly missed by her children Scott (Angela Monaghan) Henry, Heather (Rick Constantine) Henry, Krista (Paul) Caines; grandchildren Justin and Rachel Caines , Ashley Monahan , Breanna and Logan Constantine; great grandchild Melody ; sisters Kaye Degraw and Donna Grant; sister-in-law  Hilda Jackson and Shirley Henry and her extended family.

Evelyn worked as a seamstress for Stanfield's for many years along with working at Maritime Tel and Crossley’s. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.  Evelyn and Graham were always together and enjoyed being surrounded by family and their beloved dogs. Her love of dogs saw many years of fun competing with her husband at the dog shows. They were active members of the local bowling club and enjoyed an evening of music and dancing. Summer camping trips were a big part of their lives with their children and friends. She enjoyed travelling yearly to Ontario and spending time with her daughter and family in Ottawa and with her son and family in cottage country (Havelock). Evelyn could always be seen enjoying her walks in the woods with Sadie and Lolly by her side and would always be up for a shopping trip with her girls or granddaughter.

At this time there will be no service or visitation by request. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800). A private family gathering to celebrate Evelyn’s Life will be held at a later date.
