Velda Cameron

   Velda Pauline Cameron, 83, of River Glade, NB passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, to be reunited with her eternal love and soulmate, Hartley Cameron. Born in Middlesex, NB to the late William and Greta (Carter) Lewis, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

   Velda was a woman of unwavering faith and love of Jesus. She was a caring selfless person devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren. She would reminisce of her working years, making pantyhose for a time, as well as making pink Lucky Elephant brand candy popcorn. Though she was not able to speak in her later years, Velda knew what was being said and could still get her point across when she needed to.

   Survived and sadly missed by her daughter, Alvenia Delarge; grandchildren, Fay (Allan), Brenda (Ralph), Ben (Melissa), Ernie (Robin), Justin (Becca); great-grandchildren, Shaun, Brittany, Emma, Lucas, Logan; as well as many great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; including special nieces Joanne, who lovingly referred to her aunt Velda as "LaLa", and Carrie.

   Predeceased by her daughter, Fay; grandson, Hartley; and son-in-law, Bill.

   The family extends their sincere thank-you to Amy for her special care and attention of Mommasita.

   Resting at The Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury West (372-4800) from where visiting will be held Thursday, October 7, 2021 from 5:30 – 8:30 pm and from where Funeral will be Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11 am with Pastor Lloyd O’Blenes officiating. Masks and proof of double Covid-19 vaccinations are mandatory to attend and will be checked at the door. Interment in Middlesex Cemetery.
