1932-2021

Phyllis Linkletter

  Phyllis Eileen Linkletter, 89, wife of the late Parker Linkletter, formerly of Elgin,  passed away at the Jordan LifeCare Centre Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Born on April 3, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Cyril and Edith (Collier) Martin.

  Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of the Elgin Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and dinners with her family, helping neighbours in her early years, being with her church family and listening to gospel music.

  Phyllis is survived by her children Linda Babcock (Robert) of Petitcodiac, Nancy Thorne (Kerry) of Cumberland Bay and Jeff (Susan) of Salisbury; daughters-in-law Anna Linkletter of Salisbury and Susan Linkletter of Woodstock; grandchildren Alicia Babcock Toft-Hansen (Henrik) of Denmark, Martin and David Linkletter (Cassandra) of Moncton, Ben Thorne (Jenna) of UK, Daniel Thorne (Morgan) of Alberta and Lydia Thorne (Marshall) of Ontario, Jonathan Linkletter (Cassandra) of River Glade, Brittany, Natalie and Matthew Linkletter of Salisbury; great grandchildren Lisa Gardiner, Markus, Hannah and Justin Toft-Hansen; brothers Lawrence, Dean (Carol) and Ken (Myrna); sister Shirley Hall (Ralph); sister-in-law Carole Martin and many nieces and nephews.

  Besides her husband Parker (Junior) (2001) Phyllis was predeceased by her sons Donald (2018) and Larry (2021); grandson Ryan Babcock (1991); brother Edward (2015) and  sister-in-law Shirley Martin (2001).

  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held. Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).

  Special thanks to Dr. Richard Morton and the staff of the Jordan LifeCare Centre for the wonderful care Phyllis received over the years.
