Rodney Hicks

   Rodney Bruce Hicks, 64, of Havelock, passed away unexpectedly near his home on Monday, May 03, 2021. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Myrna (nee Perry) and the late Gordon Hicks.

   Rodney invested most of his life into farming. He was very focused on his work and enjoyed what he did. He was a woodsman as well, and was very generous with his woodcutting, always helping anyone in need. He loved stock car races, and horse-pulls.

   In addition to his mother, Rodney is survived and sadly missed by his daughters, Cathy Hicks of Moncton, Kelsey Hicks (Pavel) of Cocagne; sons, Ray Hicks, Robert Hicks (Amalia), Ryan Hicks (Lindsay), Robin Hicks all of Havelock; grandchildren, Samuel, Andrei, Rodney, Aiden, Ethan, Elizabeth, Levi; siblings, Sheila Greer (Donnie), Sandra Hicks both of Petitcodiac, Karen Carson of Moncton, Kevin Hicks (Sherri) of Saint John, Carol Alward (Lloyd) of Havelock, Boyd Hicks (Ester) of Killams Mills, Brenda Hicks of Saint John, Dana Hicks (Shelley), Lois Brewer (Derrick), Stanley "Sid" Hicks (Shelley) all of Havelock, Graham Hicks of Ontario, Susan Hicks of Saint John, Shelley Arsenault (Tyler) of Havelock; several nieces and nephews.

   Besides his father, Rodney was predeceased by his wife, Mabel Hicks; daughter, Kimberly Hicks; and brother, Lyle Hicks.

   Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800) from where visiting will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 5 – 8 pm. Covid restrictions in place. Capacity may be limited. There will be a private Family Service and interment in Havelock Wesleyan Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorials to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
