Luella Beck

  Luella Merintha Beck, 78 of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex and formerly of Petitcodiac and New Canaan passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at her residence.

  Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ottie and Eva (Carson) Kierstead. Luella was a former employee of Sussex Poultry and a former Shop Steward for United Food & Commercial Workers Union. She was a member of the New Canaan Baptist Church and recently attended Petitcodiac Lighthouse Assembly. Luella loved to sing, read and spend time with her family.

  She is survived and sadly missed by her children Edwinna Campbell (Irvine) of Campbellton, Stephen Beck of Havelock and Lorrie Wood (Paul) of Petitcodiac; grandchildren Martin and Caitlin; great granddaughter Katarina; sister Louise Black of Hunters Home and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Leslie (2005); sister Bernice Alward and brothers Eugene, Virgil and Stillman Kierstead.

  Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). There will be a private family graveside service with Pastor Calvin Fenwick officiating at New Canaan Cemetery.

  If desired, memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
