Clarence "Bud" York

   Clarence "Bud" Irvine York, age 97, of Petitcodiac passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, April 25, 2021. Born on April 18, 1924 in Waterville NB, he was the son of the late Ralph and Hazel (McLean) York.

   Bud was a master mechanic working at many locations including Lounsbury’s, Clark’s, and small motor repair for Fawcett’s  & 126 Sales.  He enjoyed creative tinkering, always embracing new technology, and building many things including a canoe and his snow blower. Even at the late age of 97 he drove to Tim Hortons every day and got his coffee using his Tim’s phone app.

   Over 70 years ago Bud had a personal experience with Christ and has since been a devoted Christian, always sharing his experience with others. He used his musical talents for the kingdom of God. Bud had a great voice and played many instruments with his favorite being a dobro guitar.  He has loved and enjoyed the fellowship at Faith Assembly for many years.

    Bud is survived by his nephew (chosen son) Gregg Hunt (Bonita); their children, Holly Sullivan (Derek), Travis Hunt, Shasta Hitchcock (Colin), & Alex Paul (Victoria) all of Fredericton; his 9 precious great-great nieces and nephews Madie, Zach, Henry, Hartley, Hilary, Bella, Noah, Olivia and Kate; brother, Arthur (Betty) of Kitchener, ON; sister-in-law, Norma; as well as many nieces and nephews.

   Besides his parents Bud was predeceased by his best friend, the love of his life, his amazing wife Audrey.  Also, by his sister, Juanita Foster (Murray); brothers, Lorne (first wife Stella), Harvey (Rhona) and Austin (Evelyn).

    Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rt 106, Salisbury West (506-372-4800) from where visiting will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 1 to 3 pm. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, masks are mandatory, social distancing will be respected, and capacity may be limited. A private funeral service will follow with Pastor Fred Cormier officiating. Interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac.
