Mary Carter
1941-2021
Mary Elizabeth Carter, 79, of Elgin, passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, April 5, 2021 with her family by her side. Born in Springhill, NS, she was a daughter of the late Eldred and Goldie (Weeks) Lowther.
Mary was a housekeeper at the Royal Court for 10 years. She was a quiet person who enjoyed jam sessions and country music shows. Patsy Cline was her favourite singer. Mary loved to get coffee and go for long drives.
Survived and sadly missed by her husband, Gerald Carter; daughters, Susan White, Lesia Hachey and Diana Hachey (Trevor McKay); son, Christopher Hachey; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Coates; three brothers, Robert, William, and Kenneth Lowther; brother-in-law, Terry Crawford; father of her children, Leo Hachey; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by grandchildren, Nathan, Alicia, and Misty; and sister, Eleanor.
Resting at The Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800) from where a private family visiting will be held. There will be no funeral by request. Interment in Elgin Cemetery at a later date.
