David Demont

1949-2021

David Demont

David Flemming Demont, 71, of Moncton, formerly of Harewood, passed away at the K. E. Spencer Memorial Home on Sunday, February 21, 2021. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Basil and Harriet (Stewart) Demont.

David was a John Wayne type that guarded his feelings more fiercely than a box of Ganong’s chocolates. He did however love to joke and tease with everyone, especially with his nieces and nephews. He grew up working in the woods alongside his family and loved to go hunting in the fall. His favourite pastimes were browsing the Money Saver for classic cars and trucks and drinking too much coffee with friends at Tim’s. He would have loved to get to know his granddaughter had it not been his dementia and COVID 19 restrictions.

Survived by his daughter Theresa Demont (Sean MacCready); granddaughter, Quinn MacCready; wife Helen Demont; brother, Karl Demont; many aunts, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by sister, Marie Harrison; brothers, Sheldon, Jimmy, and Lloyd.

Arrangements in care of The Salisbury Funeral Home (506-372-4800). A graveside service will be held at a later date. If desired, memorials to Stop Spraying NB would be appreciated.
