Allan O'Blenis

It is with many broken hearts, that the loving family of Allan O'Blenis announce his passing on Tuesday, Feb.16,2021.
Born in 1946, he was the son of the late Ronald and Inez O'Blenis and the eldest of eight.
Allan enjoyed 31 yrs. as a middle school teacher in Riverview and ended his career in 2020, teaching at the Atlantic Institution in Renous, NB.
From class president, to summer camp counsellor, to teacher, to father, grandfather, coach, and referee, he always made time for his love of fishing, camping, Maple Leaf games and of course, dancing.
Allan will be dearly missed by his adoring wife, Mary Lyn; sisters: Carol Blomsma, Debby Brown(Mike), Betty Chapman(Craig); brothers: Eric(Wendy), Terry, Bobby and Mark; son Mathew(Katie), step-children: Matt(Chantal), Chris(Josee), and Britnee(Michael); grandsons Darby, Declan and several nieces and nephews.
His wife would like to thank Nurses, Pharmacists and Doctors at the Sheldon Rubin Onocology Clinic and at the Miramichi Regional Hospital for their caring and compassion. A special thank you to their dear friend, Kathy Richard, for her love and support.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 1-4 pm at Davidsons Funeral Home in Miramichi, NB and on Friday, Feb. 26 from 1-4 pm at Salisbury Funeral Home, Salisbury, NB.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, masks are mandatory, social distancing will be respected, and building capacity is limited to 25 people at one time.
Donations to the Riverview Royals Basketball Assoc. or the Atlantic Salmon Federation are welcome.
