Dorothy C. Corey
Born in Cherryvale she was a daughter of the late Rufus and Laura (Corey) Black. A homemaker, Dorothy was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed traveling, quilting, knitting and was a Life Member of the Lower Ridge Women's Institute.
Surviving is her husband of sixty seven years Archibald (Archie), four children Mona Thorne (Stanley) of Sussex, Duane of Quispamsis, Ward (Darlene) and Dixie Melvin (Ronald) both of Havelock ; six grandchildren Karen, Kent, Shelley, Shawni, Laura and Jennifer, six great grandchildren Alex, Emma, Larissa, Justus, Brandon and Kennedy. Also survived by a brother Claude of Centerville and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter in law Doreen Corey, sisters Juanita Corey, Geneva Boron, Bernice Keith, Marguerite Hanson and Erma Silk; brothers Ford, Lawrence and Garnet.
Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road on Saturday March 26 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Daniel Jack officiating. Interment at Fairhaven Cemetery, Moncton.
