Herbert Constantine

  Herbert Reade Constantine, 81, of Berry Mills passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital.

  Born in Dobson Corner, he was the son of the late Reade and Lavina (Rogers) Constantine.  He graduated from Petitcodiac Regional High School in 1952, then went on to work as a foreman with Lafarge Canada in Brookfield, NS.  Herbert was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church, a volunteer Fireman at the Onslow-Belmont Fire Brigade in Nova Scotia, a founding member of the Firehouse IV Band in which he played guitar and was lead singer. He also loved to shop and socialize and had a passion for farming, gardening and flowers.

  Survived and sadly missed by his son Brian of Berry Mills; daughter Janet Jones (James) of Moncton; grandchildren Jade, Jordyn and Noah Jones and sisters Letha Killam (Harold) of Truro, NS, Lois Wardrop (Lee Alward) of Moncton and Geraldine Eagles of Sussex and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his wife of 52 years Winnifred Constantine and brothers-in-law Earnie Eagles and Bob Wordrop.

  There will be a private graveside service at Pine Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).
