David MacWilliam

  David Nelson MacWilliam, 75, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born in Salisbury, he was the son of the late Arthur and Ida (Taylor) MacWilliam.  David was a retired CNR Police Officer.  He was a member of the Salisbury Baptist Church, the Salisbury Lions Club, an executive member of the union with CNR and affiliated with the CNR First Aid Team, a referee for Petitcodiac/Salisbury Minor Hockey and a member of the "Spit and Whittle".  He also enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer.

  David is survived and sadly missed by his wife Gloria (Wheaton); sons Terry (Shari) of River Glade and Thane (Brenda) of Abudhahi; daughter Tracey John of Salisbury; cherished grandchildren Joanne and Terri-Lynn MacWilliam, Joanie MacWilliam and Gail MacWilliam (Miss Muffie) and several great grandchildren; brother John of Ottawa; sisters Irene Geldart of Salisbury and Deborah Lewis of Colpitts Settlement and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by son-in-law Brian John; brothers-in-law Fred  Geldart and Floyd Lewis and sister-in-law Shirley MacWilliam.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Saturday, April 18 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm.  The funeral will be held Sunday, April 19 at 3 pm from the Salisbury Baptist Church with Rev. Tim MacKinnon officiating.  A scent free environment would be appreciated by the family.  Interment will take place Monday, April 20 at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

  In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Victoria's Quilts Canada or a charity of choice would be appreciated in his memory.
