Eileen Geldart

  Eileen Margaret Geldart, 92, of Salisbury and formerly Nixon passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born in Turtle Creek she was a daughter of the late Hudson and Bessie (Horton) Burtt. Eileen was a former employee of the T. Eaton Company and was a faithful member of the Nixon United Baptist Church. She was a life member of the former Colpitts Women's Institute, the Monday Morning Merry Makers, seniors bowling and was a life member of the Albert County P.C. Women's Association.

  Survived and sadly missed by her daughters Faye Quackenbush (Harvey) of Riverview, Donna Tingley (Ralph) of Nixon, Cheryl Douthwright (Sydney) of Colpitts Settlement; seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Survived also by her sister Victoria Gallant (late Hector) of Salisbury; daughter-in-law Lavina Geldart of Salisbury; son-in-law Vernon Douthwright of Colpitts Settlement. Predeceased by her husband George, a son Austin, daughter Dorothy Douthwright, grandchildren Kerry and Barry Douthwright, son-in-law Floyd McCormick, sister Beatrice Leaman and brother Raymond Burtt.

   Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Pastor Paul Leger officiating. Interment at the Nixon Cemetery.

  If desired, memorials to the Nixon United Baptist Church or the Nixon Cemetery fund  would be appreciated by the family.
