Frank Hoar
1930-2014
Frank Siddal Hoar, 84, of Dobson Corner, passed away peacefully at his home Thursday, July 10, 2014.
Born in Dobson Corner, he was the son of the late Leonard and Greta (Geldart) Hoar. He retired from NB Power after thirty-one years as a lead linesman. Frank was a member of the Lewis Mountain Baptist Church and a volunteer with the Lewis Mountain Cemetery. He enjoyed farming, raising beef cattle, but most of all he loved spending time with his girls and their families and he was always ready to lend a cheerful helping hand to anyone.
He is survived and missed by his beloved wife of fifty years Kay; daughters Kelly Spragg (Rick) of Dobson Corner, Tanya Murray (Stephen) of MacDougall Settlement and Shari Moss (Craig) of Dobson Corner; cherished grandchildren Megan, Kara, Brandon, Connor, Emma, Shelby and Alyson; great grandson Camden; sister Jennie Sleeper of Lewis Mountain; brother-in-law Tom McNeil; sister-in-law Marg Hoar and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Robert, Allison, Hughie and infant Willard; sister Eleanor McNeil and mother-in-law Dora Knights.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Saturday, July 12 from 6 - 9 pm. The funeral will be held Sunday, July 13 at 2 pm, in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Vincent Burgess officiating. Interment at Lewis Mountain Cemetery.
