Raymond Marsden
1939-2013
Raymond G. Marsden, 73, of Jordan Life Care Centre and formerly of Salisbury and Havelock, passed away Thursday, May 09, 2013 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Singhampton, ON., he was a son of the late Harry and Lealah (Reynolds) Marsden. He worked for thirty-seven years at Pilkington Glass. Raymond was an avid horsman, an active owner and trainer in the standardbred industry, he enjoyed playing golf and was a devoted family man.
Raymond is survived and missed by his wife of twenty-two years Loris (Thorne); children David (Gail) of Collingwood, ON., Ashlea Wood (Tony) of Moncton, James Constantine (Lori) of Dobson Corner and Steven Marsden of Ingersol, ON.; grandchildren Ashley, Alicia, Bernie, Brittney, Bradley and Heidi; great grandchildren Taylor, Lillya and one soon to be; sisters Olive Gordon and Wilma Smith; brothers Richard, Jim and Bob; former wife and mother of his two sons Joan; mother-in-law Betty Thorne of Petitcodiac; brothers and sister-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by grandson Jason Marsden; brother Russell; sisters Shirley North, Dorothy Johnson, Mary Varley and Greer North.
The funeral will be held from the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, Saturday, May 11 at 11 a.m. with Rev. David Woodworth officiating. There will be no visitation. Interment at Singhampton Union Cemetery, ON.
