Marguerite Weir

  Weir, Marguerite Eileen, 76, of Colpitts Settlement, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born April 16, 1934 in Colpitts Settlement, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Elvina (Rogers) McCormick.  Marguerite was the retired proprietor of Lorne's Grocery in Middlesex.  She was a member of the Middlesex Baptist Church, the Ladies Little River P.C. Group, Monday Morning Merry Makers and Lion's Bingo.  Marguerite enjoyed knitting and cooking and will be especially remembered for her bread.

  She is survived and missed by son Allison (Shelly); daughter in law Elaine Carter; grandchildren Melanie, Tina, Cindy, Briana, Tim, Seth and Kayla; 6 great grandchildren;  sisters Jean Chapman (late Earl), Shirley Lewis (late Cecil) and Brenda Lewis (Russell); brothers Aubrey (Loretta), Reid (Clara) and Leonard (Kathy); brothers and sisters in law and several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by husbands Royce Carter, Lorne Colpitts and Glenn Weir; son Charles Carter; sisters Wanda, Libby, Lena and Pearl; brothers Floyd, Merle, Harvey, Clarence, Kenneth and Gerald.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visitation Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Saturday, July 31 at 1 pm with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating.  Interment at The Glades Baptist Cemetery.
