Allen "Al" Lounsbury

1962-2020

Allen "Al" Lounsbury

Allen (Big Al) Lounsbury, 58 of Petitcodiac, died peacefully at home on Sunday, December 13th, 2020 after a lengthy illness.  Born in Moncton, he was the son of Marjorie (nee Urquahart) and the late Stan Lounsbury.

Al grew up with a wrench in his hand. If it had a motor then he could be found fixing it, or teaching others about his passion. Al was always the guy to stop and help, whether it was along the snowmobile trail or the side of the road - he left no one behind.  He could often be quoted saying "I’ve never worked hard a day in my life, because I love what I do."

Allen looked forward to his church meetings with friends who had come to feel like family. Family was always his priority, as he was happiest heading out in the Huddy on a road trip with Judy, Joshua, and Jessica, bound for a great meal with even greater friends at the end of the road. He was an avid member of the Goshen Snowmobile Club, and Codiac Classics.

In addition to his mother, Al is survived by his wife, Judy; daughter, Jessica; brother, Peter (Anna); parents-in-law, Gerald and Shirley Armstrong, and brother-in-law, Jeff (Deb); as well as a niece and nephew and several cousins. Besides his father, Al was predeceased by his son Josh.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Morton, Dr. Blanchard, and extra mural for their compassion and support.

Visiting will be held from The Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury West (372-4800) on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm.
