Gaven Lewis

   Gaven Ronald Lewis, 73, of Upper Coverdale, passed away at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Monday, October 12, 2020. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late Ronald and Muriel (Horsman) Lewis.

   After having many careers, including Canadian Armed Forces as Major, Moncton city police, truck driving, and most recently, correctional officer, Gaven enjoyed his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing, his horses, and most especially, his time with his family, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as Gramps. 

   Survived and sadly missed by his beloved wife, June Lewis; children, Sheldon, Bradley (Wendy), Kirk, and Lindsay-Anne (Wilfred "Butch" Taylor) Lewis; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Brenda (Gary) Leaman, Peggy Lewis, Cynthia "Cindy" (Clayton) Saunders, and Roxanne (Stephen) Kyle; many nieces and nephews.

   Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no Funeral Service. A private family gathering will take place at the Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). If desired, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
