Audrey Ricker

   With great sadness, we announce  Audrey Ricker of Parkindale peacefully left this earth to dance with the angels.  She passed on  the  4th of June 2020 at The Moncton Hospital at the age of 92 years.

   Audrey Mary Ricker was born on March 12, 1928 in Bouctouche, NB and was the daughter of the late James Gaines and Margaret Mary (Petitpas) Gaines.  Audrey was a loyal devoted wife of 57 years, she was predeceased by her husband Russell Norris Ricker and 2 infant sons.

   Audrey is survived by her seven daughters, Linda King (Ken),  Faye MacNutt (Al),  Dale Edgar (Harold),  Valerie Spital (Karl),  Donna Mills (Raymond),  Debby Geldart (Andrew), Shelley Hicks (Stanley),  seven sons Jim (Alma),  Bev (Donna),  Ronnie,  John,  Mike,  Vaughn (Penny), Todd (Laura); also many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

   Momma was a caring mother to her 14 children who she raised in her house spanning 43 years. She was a very strong woman and always made sure their needs came before hers. She lived a very simple lifestyle and when she had any free time she enjoyed hooking puzzles, crosswords, playing cards and being outside enjoying her flower & vegetable gardens.  The sound of a bird and the warmth of the sun would make her day complete.  Momma possessed an easy-going attitude, with a sense of humour that would  bring a smile to one’s face. She always had a smile on her face  that was contagious.  The radio was always on in momma’s home and she could often be heard humming along or tapping her foot.

   She will be missed dearly and forever in our hearts.

   Arrangements in care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800). There will be no visitation or funeral service by personal request. A grave side service will be held at the Parkindale Cemetery at a later date. If so desired, donations in memory of Audrey can be made to the Parkindale Cemetery.
