June Jeffrey

  June Bertha Jeffrey, 90 of Salisbury and formerly of Sandy Cove, Digby Co., NS passed away peacefully on December 13, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital with family by her side.

  Born in Bridgetown, NS, she was the daughter of the late James (Jack) and Rhoda (Fox) Batson.  She was a shop owner, homemaker, apartment superintendant, enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking and talking with RJ.

  She will be sadly missed by her daughter Wanda Gillis of Salisbury, son Wayne (Gail) Jeffrey of London, ON; grandchildren Kristopher (Tina) Gillis of Salisbury, Ryan (Amelie) Gillis of Greely, ON, Scott (Jill) Jeffrey of London, ON, Corina of London, ON and great grandchildren Ashley, Mandy, Justin, Hayden, Sydney, Maddix, Daxton, Keighan, Paige, Travis, Reed, and Carter; sisters Patricia Steadman and Midge (Don) Medicraft all of Middleton, NS; brother Francis Batson of Clarence, NS and sister-in-law Cathy Batson of Bridgewater, NS.  Predeceased by her husband Frank A. Jeffrey (2007); son Michael (2011); brothers James, Ronald and William Batson; grandson Frank Jeffrey; son-in-law Ray Gillis (2012) and brother-in-law Franklin (Bud) Steadman.

  At June's request there will be no service.  Interment will take place at Bridgetown Cemetery, NS in the late spring.

  Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home and Crematorium (372-4800).
