Sylvester "Sly" "Sylve" Bennett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvester "Sly" "Sylve" Gerard Bennett on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital with family by his side. Born on February 19, 1946 in Corner Brook, NL he was a son of the late Francis and Josephine Bennett and beloved partner of Heather Voutour, his great love.

Sly was a retired dispatcher for CN Railroad. His first passion was music and he enjoyed his Wednesday nights playing the card game 200 at his home away from home. He especially loved spending time with his family, extended family, and of course, his canine companion and best buckaroo, Dodger.

In addition to his partner Heather, Sly is survived and sadly missed by his daughter, Kimberley Bennett/Wilton; son, Carey (Megan); grandchildren, Vanessa and Richard Wilton and Locky Dorrell ; siblings, Carl (Grace), Daphne, Barb (Brian), Jean (Bill), Gerrie (Darren), Gary (Donna), Diane (Andy), Michael Darren (Colleen), Craig (Tanya), Tina (Scott); many nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Marie. He will also be missed by many friends, especially Jake & Linda, Dale & Cheryl, Jeff & Bessie, Keith & Leslie; and the rest of their family.
