Jeannine Despres

1932-2019

Jeannine Despres

Jeannine Therese Despres, 86, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, May 5, 2019. Born in Lewisville, she was the daughter of the late Rosario and Edna (Cormier) Arsenault.

Jeannine was a homemaker who taught voice lessons, was active in Choral Alouette for a number of years, and volunteered at MAGMA. For many of us, Jeannine has been a teacher, mentor and a beloved family member.  What she shared was so much more than musical technique, although that was awesome, it was a way of viewing and living life.  She was the most loving role model ever.  No matter what, she will never be absent from our life.  We have so many memories forever cherished.

She is survived and sadly missed by her beloved husband, Ernest; daughter, Ginette Despres (Bob Sellers); five grandchildren, Melyssa, Matthew, and Thomas Lake, Brandon Sellers, and Kathleen Despres; one great-granddaughter; sisters, Ines Kulcheski, Bernie Goodwin (Dean Goodwin); brother, Euclide Arsenault (Laura); many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Terrance; daughter Jocelyn; brothers, Len and Tex Arsenault.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106, Salisbury (372-4800) from where visitation will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 7pm followed by prayers at 8:30pm by Father Charles Broderick. Interment at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

If desired, memorials to Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
