Olive M. Steeves

Olive M. Steeves, 78, of The Glades, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Jordan Lifecare Centre with family by her side. Born in St. Phillip, she was the daughter of the late Jude and Rita (Gouguen) Caissie.

Olive was a homemaker, and a member of St. Jude’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed bingo, knitting, crocheting, and her daily walk. She was very kind and loving, with a heart of gold and would allow anybody into her home. She especially enjoyed time with her family. She would never go anywhere until she fixed her hair.

Olive is survived and sadly missed by her daughters, Rose Tingley (Eugene Constantine) of Salisbury West, June Caissie of Moncton; step-children, Ronald Steeves (Claudette) of Salisbury, Donna Ferrera (Bill) of Massachusetts; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; twin great-great-grandsons; sisters, Leah Bernard (Cyril) of Montreal, Faye Gould of Moncton; brother, Cyrill Caissie of Riley Brook, and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Olive was predeceased by her first husband and father of their children, Willard Steeves; partner, Guerney Wheaton; step-son, Ralph Steeves of Ontario, and brothers, Joe Caissie and Henry Caissie.

Special thank you to the staff of the Jordan Lifecare Centre for the compassionate care Olive received.
