Robert "Bob" Forsythe
The passing of Robert "Bob" Thompson Forsythe, 84, of Salisbury, NB occurred on August 20, 2018 at the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Dorchester, NB to the late Maxwell and Lila (Thompson) Forsythe, Bob was the beloved husband of Oretha (Keith-Murphy).
Bob spent his early working life with Canada Post in Moncton. He then worked as a truck driver for many years and in later years was a self-employed home building contractor. He attended Five Points Baptist Church, the church bowling league, and was a former member of the Havelock Lions Club as well as the Petitcodiac Golf and Country Club. Bob was passionate about flying. He had his private pilot’s license, was a member of the Havelock Flying Club, built his own planes, and enjoyed flying with and mentoring other pilots.
In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his two daughters, Donna LeBlanc (Roy) and Audrey Snider (Robert); mother of his children, Phyllis; step-children, Steven Keith (Tracey), Larry Keith, Cheryl Middleton (Reid); grandchildren, Marc LeBlanc, Courtney Snider (Jordan), Danny Snider (Heidi); step-grandchildren, Dustin Keith (Janet), Jessie Bell (Stephen), Erica Middleton (Mike), Kyle Middleton, Danny Keith, Michael Keith; and nieces.
Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by his two daughters, Deborah Lynn and Joanne Merle; two brothers, Ronald and Harold, and twin sister, Betty McCully.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Gathering at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11 am with Rev. Bill Parks officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Shediac.
If desired, memorials to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) or a charity of choice and would be appreciated by the family.
