Pauline Bernice Carter

Pauline Carter, 89, of The Glades, passed away at the Jordan Lifecare Centre on April 2, 2018. She was born March 4, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Bliss and Amanda May (Leaman) Wilson and widow of the late Roy Carter. 

She was an active member of the former Glades Baptist Church, life member of the Women's Missionary Society, former treasurer of The Glades Cemetery, volunteer at Jordan Lifecare Center and SPOT. In her younger years, she and Roy enjoyed round dancing with Charlie's Angels, she also enjoyed cross-stich, crocheting, crafts, and family get-togethers.

Survived by children Larry (Debbie), Stephen (Barb), Allison (Angela), grandchildren Kevin (Tanya) Carter, Christa (Mark) Steeves, Jenna Carter, Denise (Jim) Douthwright, great-grandchildren Sarah and Emily Rouse, Erica and Emily Carter and Jaxen and Declan Steeves, sisters-in-law Laurine Wilson and Erma Gray, several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and spouse, Pauline was predeceased by infant son Leslie, brothers Ranford, Austin, Leroy and Lawrence and sisters Greta Simpson, Stella Smith, Rosie Robb and Doris Robb. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 6-9 pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 1 pm with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating. Interment in The Glades Baptist Cemetery at a later date.

In Memory of Pauline, memorials can be made to the Jordan Lifecare Centre, or Alzheimer's Society.
