Marguerite Corey
1930-2017
Marguerite Ella Violet Corey, 87, of the Kenneth E. Spencer Nursing Home and formerly Havelock passed away at the home early Wednesday, September 27, 2017 with family at her side.
Born in Sussex, she was a daughter of the late William P. and Jennie (Fowler) Alward. A homemaker, she was a member of the Havelock Wesleyan Church and the W.M.S. of the church. She was happiest cooking and entertaining her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survived and sadly missed by her sons, William (Bill ) and his wife Phyllis of Havelock, Lee and his wife Jane of Fredericton; cherished grandchildren : Christopher, Tammy Dryden (Tim), Melissa (Nick), Michael (Mariannela), Emily, David, Jack and a beloved great granddaughter Mackenzie. Survived also by a sister Alta Burgess (Tom); sisters-in-law Beatrice Alward, Jean Alward and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Warren, great grandson Skyler, and brothers Lester, Billy, Donald and Harold.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rt 106 Salisbury (372-4800) with visiting Friday September 29 , 6-8 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel, Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Glen McVicar officiating. Interment at the Butternut Ridge Wesleyan Cemetery .
