Shirley B. Melvin

Shirley Berneice Melvin ,85, of Moncton passed away Monday July 10, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital. Born  in Hildergarde she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Bessie (Carson) Murray. Shirley was a member of the Steeves Settlement Baptist Church. She spent most of her working life as a waitress but was most happy in the company of her family.

  Survived and sadly missed by her children Donna Wheaton (late Merle) of Wheaton Settlement, James Melvin (Cindy) of Cornhill, Ronald Melvin (Dixie) of Lower Ridge, Kathy Wilson (Stephen) of Wheaton Settlement, Maureen Thorne of Moncton, Valerie Meyer (Tony) of Rusagonis. Survived also by 12 beloved grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, a brother Hartley Murray of Indian Mountain, sister in law Bette Murray of Moncton  and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband James, sister Irene Doige and brothers Charlie and Ray Murray.

   Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Rt 106 (372-4800) with visiting Wednesday July 12 from 6-9 p.m. and service Thursday in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lloyd O'Blenes officiating. Interment at the Kinnear Settlement Cemetery.

   Memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
