Roy Cosman
1930-2017
Roy Leslie Cosman, 86 of Havelock passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 19, 2017 at the Jordan Life Care Centre.
Son of the late Lawrence and Julia (Thorne) Cosman, he was raised by his late Uncle & Aunt, Leon & Edith Ryder. Roy was self-employed as a woodsmen and trucker and also enjoyed the oudoors, hunting and fishing and spending time with family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years Veta (Carson); children Diane Bannister (Gordon), Janet Taylor (Walter), Catherine Kelly (Carl), Alanna Lounsbury (Doug), Graham (Kelly), Shelley Thorne (Philip), Lori Perry (Kevin); brother Malcolm Cosman; sisters Ernestine Delong, Audrey Shannon (Don); 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Roy was predeceased by brothers Allan and Kenneth; sisters Ella Brown, Mary Hough and Madeline Hanks.
Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home 3350 Route 106 (372-4800), from where there will be visitation Wednesday 7-9pm and funeral Thursday, June 22nd at 11:00am with Rev. Glen McVicar officiating. Internment at the Wesleyan Cemetery in Havelock.
