Donna Cromwell

1931-2017

Donna Cromwell

Amidst the sadness we wish to also celebrate the wonderful woman which we were privileged and fortunate enough to call Mum, Donna Shirley Cromwell, of Petitcodiac as she left us Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital.

All of us live our lives every day to the fullest drawing our courage and moral compass from the lady who never complained and constantly sacrificed herself behind all others.  She always had a kind word or an expression of hope.

Her life with cancer and the strength of character she exemplified throughout those many years compelled you to push through all life's complications.

85 years young and embracing the Ipad to stay current with her children ,grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  This generation of people will sorely miss that influence and light in their lives as will those children that come after as she was and is an unrelenting influence with her silent leadership.  Never a disparaging word but only wishes of encouragement and positive faith in people, how different our lives would have been had we not been so blessed to have her show us by example how to love, cherish and embrace the precious time we have.

Born in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (Wilson) Perry.  Donna along with her late husband Corey owned and operated the Land & Sea Market in River Glade.  She enjoyed knitting and cherished the family get togethers.

She is survived and dearly missed by her children Brian McMackin (Barb), Salisbury, Darlene Hopper (David), Salisbury, Jeffery McMackin (Diana), Enfield N.S., William McMackin (Jocelyn), Moncton, Terri Cromwell (Nancy), Saint John, Coreen Kemp (Bob), Toronto, Ont., Barb Streeter (Marty), Whitby, Ont., James Cromwell (Kathy) Oromocto;special daughters-in-law Monique and Denise, sister Phyllis Chambers, Petitcodiac; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and beloved canine companion Holly.  Besides her parents Donna is predeceased by her husband of 43 years Corey and sister Lillian Hopper.

There will be a private family graveside service held at Maplewood Cemetery, Petitcodiac.  Arrangements are in the care of Salisbury Funeral Home (372-4800).

If desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
