Byron Douthwright

  Byron T. Douthwright, 76, of Upper Coverdale passed away Tuesday June 6, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital.

  Born in Pollett River, he was the son of the late Alden and Myrtle (Kaye) Douthwright.  Byron retired in 1992 after 33 years of service with the CNR.  He was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church. A gentle, quiet man he enjoyed country music, country drives and trips to the ice cream store.

  He is survived and sadly missed by his beloved  wife Sheila;  his daughters Karen Mullins (Steve), USA, Janet Olson (Tim), Alberta; step-son Kevin DeWolfe (Susan Chaulk), Alma; step-daughters Ruth DeWolfe (Terry Rossiter), Alma and Katherine Tower (Kenny), Germantown; brothers Dale (Pat ), Pollett River, Allan, The Glades, Ray (Margie), Intervale, Laurie (Moncton) and Ivan, Pollett River. Survived also by step-grandchildren Caleb, Seth, Josh, Emily, Patrick, Megan (Mike), step great grandson Silas, sisters in law Mary Good and Bonnie Bishop (Jim), and several nieces and nephews and a very good friend Frank Mitton.  Predeceased by his brother Vaughn; sister Joan Warren (Sheldon);his first wife and the mother of his children June (Russell) and step-son Robert DeWolfe.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) visiting will be Friday, June 9 , 6-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be held in the chapel Saturday, June 10 at 11 am.  Rev. Bill Parks officiating  assisted by Rev. Dan Compton. Interment at the Glades Baptist Cemetery.
