Ruby Wilson
1925-2017
Ruby Norma Wilson, who was the last surviving member of her immediate family, passed away Saturday, May 20th at the Jordan Life Care Centre.
Born in Elgin, she was the daughter of the late Douglas & Ella (Welton) Douthwright. Ruby was a homemaker and in her spare time enjoyed quilting, gardening and listening to music. Above all, however, she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Ruby is survived, and will be greatly missed by her daughters Sharon Geldart, Petitcodiac, Flora Berry, Petitcodiac, Brenda Carty (John), Elgin, Linda Perry (Richard) Shediac; son-in-law Jack Jonah, Elgin; seven grandchildren; 8 great-grand children and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her husband Donald Wilson; daughter Sandra Jonah; brothers Gilbert, John and Leslie; sisters Addie, Leona, Irene and Frances and sons-in-law Gary Geldart and Robert Berry.
The family would like to take the opportunity to thank the staff of the Jordan Life Care Centre for their excellent care for mom over her time there.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800), by request of the family there will be no visitation. The funeral will be held at Armstrong’s Funeral Chapel, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, Friday, May 26th at 1pm.
Internment to follow at the New Elgin Cemetery.
