Henrietta 'Etta' Goddard

  Henrietta "Etta" Goddard, 99, of Petitcodiac passed away at the Moncton Hospital Saturday, May 6, 2017.

  Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Albina (Mullins) Magee.  As well as a homemaker, she worked at T. Eaton Company in Moncton; Wandlyn Motel and Howard Johnsons, Magnetic Hill.  She was the oldest member of the First North River Baptist Church and a former member of the Fawcett Hill Intervale Women's Institute.  She liked music, reading and quilting.  She had a big heart and loved her family dearly.  Etta loved having company and you never left her house without a lunch and a cup of tea.

  Etta will be sadly missed by her daughters Audrey Beckett (Humbert), Nackawic, Linda Cromwell, Salisbury, and Marlene Marshall (late Stewart), Fawcett Hill; son Paul , Ontario; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; daughters-in-law Diana MacKnight (Gary), Manhurst, Peggy Goddard, Ontario and Vesta Goddard, Petitcodiac as well as several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Heber (2004), sons William and Robert, infant daughter Cynthia, brother Edward Magee and son-in-law Stewart Marshall.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, May 9 from 7 to 9 pm.  The funeral will be held at First North River Baptist Church Wednesday, May 10 at 2 pm with Rev. R. Wayne Hagerman officiating.  Interment to follow at First North River Cemetery.

  The family would like to thank Vesta Goddard for her love and devotion, Melanie Beckett for her professional care and Sherry and Grant Seely for being excellent caregivers.
