H. Winnifred Brown

  H. Winnifred Brown, 93, formerly of Anagance Ridge, passed away peacefully to go to heaven on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Jordan Life Care Center.

  Born in Parleeville, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Bessie (Pickett) Parlee.  Winnie was a graduate of Sussex High and Normal School. She was a teacher in her early years before her marriage and becoming a homemaker.  She was raised Anglican but after marriage attended faithfully the Cornhill Baptist Church and was a member of the Cornhill Baptist W.M.S., the former Anagance Ridge Women's Institute, and the Corn Ridge Senior Citizens.

  She is survived and sadly missed by her daughters Ruth Boyce (Henry), Sussex and Marilyn Steeves, Elgin; sons James (Marjorie), Sussex and Stephen (Ellen), Petitcodiac; grandchildren Wendy, Carol, Janet, Jimmy, Emily, Della, Kirk, Everett, Andrew;

she was lovingly known as GG to her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Norma Kelly, Riverview and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Ronald (2005); son Tom; grandson in infancy Victor; sisters Mildred Parlee, Lesley Mills and Pauline Chambers and brothers Rutherford, Lawrence and Donald Parlee.

  Resting at Armstrong's Funeral Chapel, 33 Russell Street (756-3361) visiting will be Monday, April 17 from 5 to 8 pm.  The funeral will be held Tuesday, April 18, 1 pm at the Cornhill Baptist Church.  Interment at the Cornhill Baptist Cemetery.

  If desired, memorials to the Cornhill Baptist Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
