Catherine Louise Arsenault

1943-2017

Catherine Louise Arsenault

CATHERINE LOUISE ARSENAULT [nee MALONE]

January 20th, 1943 – March 31st, 2017

Our sweet Cathy passed away quietly early afternoon Friday March 31st, 2017 due to complications from double pneumonia caused by the side effects of Alzheimer’s.  She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and mild presence but most significantly her unswerving devotion to her God, Jehovah. This was her motivation for everything she did.

She was born January 20th, 1943 to Marjorie Malone [nee McConnell] and Leo Malone of Stanley, NB.  She was the 3rd child of 4.  Her birth followed that of her oldest sister Bertha and older brother Roy, with her younger sister Shirley finishing off the foursome. She married her adoring husband Philip Arsenault on August 8th, 1987 in Fredericton, NB and after 3 months of marriage in Saint John, NB [Philip’s hometown] they moved to the Salisbury area where they spent their almost 30 years of marriage eventually settling in Salisbury West for the past 17 years.  Although predeceased by her parents and Bertha’s husband Richard Zimmerman, her siblings and Roy’s wife, Solange, reside in the Salisbury and Moncton area as well.

Previously when Cathy finished her schooling in Stanley, NB and completed a short business course in Fredericton, NB, she worked briefly in an office setting and then decided to switch to a variety of other part-time secular work.  Her reason for doing this was so she could volunteer in the full-time preaching ministry of Jehovah’s Witnesses because of her love for God and neighbour.  From January 1963 this became her lifelong desire that continued throughout her married life.  Spending approximately 54 years doing what she loved.

Her family already recognizes we will be thanking ones for weeks, months, and years to come for the love and support that has been received for Cathy and them.  Please join us this weekend for Cathy’s Memorial Service on Saturday April 8, 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located in Moncton, NB at 25 War Veterans Ave.
