Josephine Hall

  Josephine Amanda Hall, 94, of Upper Coverdale passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at her home.

  Born in Gowland Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mercy (Bannister) Knowlan.  Josephine was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church and she loved gardening, quilting and knitting.

  She is survived and missed by her daughter Sarah J. Boyce (Chet) of Massachutetts and son Morris Tingley (April) of Curryville; grandchildren Michael, Earlene, Stacey, Shawn and Dawn; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.  Josephine was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  Predeceased by her husband William Hall; sisters Irene Ayles, Mildred Mills, Catherine Tingley and Shirley Knowlan, and brothers Russell, Merle and Morris.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) visiting will be Sunday, March 5 from 1 to 4 pm and from where the service will be held in the chapel Monday, March 6 at 11 am with Rev. Bill Parks officiating.  Interment at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

  If desired, memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
