Ida Rogers
1923-2017
Ida Valentine Rogers, 93, of Wheaton Settlement passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the Moncton Hospital.
Born in Victoria Mills, she was the daughter of the late Earle and Lulu (Fawcett) Kinnear. Ida worked at Eatons and the Moncton Hospital and she attended First North River Baptist Church. She loved music jams, her car, bingo and going to the casino.
She is survived and sadly missed by her children Patricia Stevens and Beatrice Crandall both of Wheaton Settlement and Carl Rogers (Nancy) of Grand Lake; sons-in-law Donald Crandall and Donald Stevens (June); sister Gracie McCully of Riverview; sister-in-law Shirley Kinnear of Moncton; several grandsons, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; Harold Layton's children and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by the father of her children Norman Rogers; common-law spouse Harold Layton; brother Thomas Kinnear and daughter-in-law Marla Rogers.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Thursday, February 23 from 7 to 9 pm and from where the funeral will be held Friday, February 24 at 2 pm. Interment at First North River Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
