David Prosser

1936-2017

David Prosser

  David (Junior) Dale Prosser, 80, of Jordan LifeCare Centre and formerly of River Glade passed away Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the centre.

  Born in Petitcodiac, he was the son of the late David Irven and Ella Mae (Crandall) Prosser.  David was retired from the Department of Transportation Commercial Vehicle Division. For many years he was an active Mason at the former Salisbury Masonic Lodge (past Worshipful Master), a member and Past President of the Salisbury Lions Club and member of Saint James United Church in Petitcodiac. He enjoyed spring sugarmaking, was a longtime caretaker of the Prosser Family Cemetery receiving an award for its restoration, and served as the committee chairperson for the Crandall family reunions. Family get togethers and visits were very important to David.

  He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Isabel; daughter Susan Goddard (Brian), Alberta; sons Dale (Diane), River Glade and Gilbert (Debi), Alberta; grandchildren Amanda Goddard, Jennifer White (Jason), Callista Prosser (James), Nikita Prosser and Chastanity Prosser; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter;  sister-in-law Carol Prosser and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he is predeceased by brothers Raymond and Norman; sister Wilma Rodgers and granddaughter Miranda.

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Sunday, January 22, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and from where the funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m in the chapel. Intermnet at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
