Linda Steeves
1954-2016
Linda Mae Steeves, of Elgin, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2016 at home. She was the eldest daughter of Raymond and Nelda Steeves. She was known for her boundless energy and generous heart and spirit. She was especially fond of her dog Shadow who was a great comfort to her during ill health.
Survived and sadly missed by her father Raymond and step-mother Fay Steeves, formerly of Elgin now of Moncton, her companion Robert Dickie, her brother Terry Steeves and his wife Shirley (deceased) of Elgin, her sister Marianne Sweet and her husband Richard of England, her step-brother Stephen Onuluk and his wife Faye of Moncton and by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her beloved mother Nelda (Sharpe).
Friends and family are welcome to attend an evening of celebration and remembrance from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, December 7 at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800). It will be an informal gathering and an opportunity to mark Linda’s life over a cup of tea and a doughnut.
At Linda’s request there will be no service. Interment at the Elgin Cemetery. No flowers please.
If desired, memorials to SPOT (Support People of Today) or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
