Antonetta (Annie) Braam

It is with profound sadness that we the family of our Mother and Oma, announce the passing of Antonettea (Annie) Wilhelmina Braam, 83, of Riverview at the Moncton Hospital Saturday, July 30, 2016.

  Born November 21, 1932, in the Netherlands, she was the wife of the late Gerald Braam and the daughter of the late Hendrikus and Wilhelmina Gerritsen. Annie was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family and the church. She was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church and organized the roast beef and lobster suppers. Her greatest joy in life was watching the achievements of her children and grandchildren. Wednesdays you could find her enjoying the friendly competition of her ladies card group. Annie loved knitting, reading, and needlepoint. She was a member of the CWL.

  She is survived and sadly missed by her children Henry (Lorna) Braam of Courtney, BC, Rita McKinley of Riverview, John (Maria) Braam of Clifton Royal, Wilma (Bob) Hicks of McKees Mills, Janet (Stan) Braam of Toronto, ON, Steven Braam of Alberta; brother Henny (Thea) Gerritsen of the Netherlands; grandchildren Marney, Meaghan, Courtney, Matthew, Sarah, Eric, Patrick, and Katherine; 4 precious great grandchildren Bruce, Roy, Lauren and Connor  and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, sister Mieke, brother Theo and her loving husband of 49 years, Gerald..

  Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 3 at 2 pm at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church with Father Phil Mulligan. Interment at Our Lady of Mercy, Leaman Hill.
