Stella Kyle
1920-2016
Stella Retta Kyle, 96, of Salisbury and formerly of Anagance, passed away at the Jordan LifeCare Centre on Thursday, June 23, 2016.
Born on May 31, 1920 in Steeves Settlement, she was a daughter to the late Alexander and Zilpha (nee Alward) Steeves.
Stella is survived by daughters, Barbara Carhart (Buck), Carolyn Kyle, Alta Adair (Robin), Mary Bannister (Sonny); step-daughters Emma MacLeod (late Reginald), Helen King (late Allison) and Marjorie Delahunt (late Henry); grandchildren Mark, Joanne, Minda, Linda, Jennifer, Kelsey and Leah; several great and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and by extended family members and good friends. Stella was predeceased by her first husband, Charles McKay and her second husband, Fred Kyle; her daughters Frances Schneider and Marilyn Duplessis; her sisters Muriel Steeves and Marion Smith; her brothers Donald Steeves and Reid Steeves; and by her half-sisters Greta Fawcett, Viola McMackin and Edna DeBow.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visitation will be Sunday, June 26, 6 to 8 pm and from where the funeral will be held Monday, June 27 at 1 pm with Rev. Tim McKinnon officiating. Interment will be in the First North River Cemetery.
