Wanita Fantini

  It is with a heavy heart that we announce the sudden death of Wanita Fantini, 68, of Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 7, 2016. Born in Harrisville, N.B., she was the daughter of Alice (Hopper) and the late James C. Wortman.

  She is survived by her partner George Havelock, sons Nigel (Michelle) and Chris, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, sisters Roberta (Bill) Brewer and Linda (Peter) Nichols, sister-in-law Sharon, several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was pre-deceased by brother James (Sonny).

  She treasured the time spent with family and friends especially her grand kids but also enjoyed her alone time. She loved being at the family cottage in Grand Digue playing cards, doing puzzles, cooking and reading. Her iPad was never far away. Early in the morning she could be found outside wrapped up in a blanket with her coffee and book enjoying the quiet.

  Internment will take place at a later date in Shenstone, N.B. Local donations to the Cancer Society may be made through Salisbury Funeral Home. 

  She will be missed.
